Foiled by the Frog!

The Frog, aka the Lieutenant, aka roomie, aka Lil Nastee, aka Evil Salsa Lord, aka Tricky-Trick pulled a fast April Fool's Joke on me today!

Please read her blog:

http://followthefrog.blogspot.com/

After you read it, I will explain why it freaked me out and why I so foolishly fell for it.

I Love Wednesdays

You guys remember that song by Erasure called "I Love Saturday"? Well, that's how I feel about Wednesdays because (dramatic pause) it's a great TV night! Yippee!

Let me tell you what's on:

- Top Chef on Bravo
- America's Next Top Model
- American Idol (lukewarm Yippee for American Idol-- that show is not always very interesting)

Evil Salsa Lord

This entry is dedicated to the Frog, aka Lieutenant, aka roommie, aka Lil Nastee.

So, the Frog has forced her salsa addiction onto her poor lil weak, spineless roommate. Let it be known that she consumes salsa by the bottle/jar/jug/however it's packaged. So, one day, innocent Melodious accepted the Frog's sneaky, malicious offer to try her delicious Roasted Tomatilla Salsa from the heralded Trader Joe's. And, BOOM SHAKA LAKA! I was hooked! I can no longer resist the salsa!

I have a sinus infection, which has migrated to my throat. So I've got this awful sore throat that makes swallowing difficult and painful. But, has this ailment deterred me from eating the salsa last night? Lo and behold: NO!

This entry is further dedicated to the Frog, aka Lieutenant, aka roomie, aka Lil Nastee, and now aka Evil Salsa Lord.

Thank God for Funny People

There are some really funny people in this world, my sister Annie being one of them (that's her on the right).

Last week, I emailed her to ask how to get into this club. She responded with:

Okay, the deal is going down this weekend. When you get to the party, you'll see a guy with a goatee and a tattoo that says "Ese" on it. Tell him the passphrase, which is "I don't love them hos" and then give him the package. If he gives you any trouble, do the chest pump hoochie mama dance and you should be scott free.

Wayf Dress

This dress screams understated sexy. Too bad it's like $300.

"...AND THEN I SHALL BE CROWNED QUEEN OF THE DAMNED!"

I could not stop laughing when I saw this picture and read the caption. Go Fug Yourself can be such a cruel yet entertaining and so-right-on blog (thanks to the Frog for tuning me into it):

Yeah, yeah. One day, I'll learn how to hyperlink these. I'm just lazy to figure it out.

Comments

Wow, I just noticed that people are actually leaving comments on my blog! (OK, so maybe only like 3 people but hey, I can't ask for the world.)

So, I looked back on a couple comments to some old posts. Apparently, I guess there are spammers who attack blogs and leave misleading comments, to try to trick you into going to their illegal, porn sites!! Did you know that there are people who do this? Spammers attacking blogs. I was pretty amazed. I know I'm new to this blogging game, and you'd think that since I work in technology, I'd be well aware of this. But, I'm not. So, I almost got tricked into going the site, but good thing I was smart enough to float my cursor over the link to see what the actual URL is (something like: lovemelongtime.com).

And, here I was so excited to be blessed with 2 comments early on, and they were really positive comments too, like "love your blog." That did perplex me a little b/c at that point, I had only posted a couple entries, so I was like, "Wow, I really amazed these random folks with just 2 entries! I'm THAT good."

LOL.

With Project Runway over, I'm now into a new reality show: Top Chef! Yay for Bravo. They produce the best reality shows.

Top Chef is just like Project Runway in that it showcases each participant's talents.

I love food (I'm a self-professed foodie-wannabe) and I love this kind of reality show, so it's great for me. What would make it perfect is if I could try all the competing dishes. That ain't gonna happen, but Bravo is posting the winning recipes on their site. Since I'm on this baking/cooking kick, perhaps I should try the recipe.

Everybody's blogging

Everybody's got a blog these days:

I wonder if it's cooler NOT to blog?

Or, who cares about trying to be cool? People blog because they just want to get their thoughts and musings out there.
